PRIVACY POLICY

Our Privacy Policy applies to all websites operated by Hirschberg AG.

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before proceeding. By accessing the cervo.swiss website (and its subdomains) operated by Hirschberg AG, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Privacy Policy

Data protection is a top priority at Hirschberg AG. As a visitor to the cervo.swiss website, you decide which personal data you wish to share with us. However, please note that by visiting our website and reading our newsletters, we automatically collect information that allows us to determine how visitors use our website and newsletters and which information and offers are of particular interest. If you register personally, make reservations via our website, or request informational materials or other services, we will need personal information from you, such as your name and address. To the extent that such services are provided by third parties, we will forward your data to the relevant service providers, which you automatically authorize us to do by providing your data. Otherwise, we will treat your personal data confidentially and process it ourselves or pass it on to third parties only in anonymized form. Such third parties may also be located abroad. Data processing by us or third parties—except for the provision of services you have requested—is carried out exclusively for the purpose of providing our customers with personalized information tailored to their interests and needs, as well as for statistical and marketing purposes for ourselves and for tourism service providers in Switzerland. The processing of data is intended to enable us to tailor our website and our range of services to the needs of users. However, data processing is also, and in particular, carried out for market analysis and to gauge interest in Switzerland’s diverse range of tourism services, thereby enabling us to draw conclusions for designing these services to meet user needs and to incorporate these findings into Swiss tourism businesses. Any other use of your personal information, in particular its sale to third parties, is expressly prohibited. As a registered customer, you can contact us to inquire about the content of your customer data.

Your booking information will also be processed as follows:

  • Your booking details (e.g., title, first name, last name, date of birth, nationality, language, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address, number of guests, arrival date, departure date, number of nights, and any tourist tax exemptions) will be forwarded to Bonfire AG and Zermatt Tourism (either by us or via our electronic booking system).

  • Your booking details will be stored in a central database by Bonfire AG and/or Zermatt Tourism.

  • Your booking data is processed exclusively in Switzerland and the EU.

  • Based on this, Zermatt Tourism calculates the tourist tax owed and collects it from its service partners.

  • Zermatt Tourism also submits reports to the Federal Statistical Office.

  • Bonfire AG and Zermatt Tourism grant the police access to the database containing booking information so that the police can retrieve the relevant booking details, for example, in cases involving missing persons.

  • Zermatt Tourism uses booking data to compile statistics (particularly regarding occupancy rates, length of stay, number of arrivals, etc.).

The legal basis for this data processing is the fulfillment of a legal obligation within the meaning of Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR (billing and collection of tourist tax / reporting to the Federal Statistical Office) or the protection of a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (granting access to the police / collection of statistics).

Your booking information will only be used for direct marketing purposes (e.g., sending newsletters) if you have given us your consent to do so.

For more information about how Zermatt Tourism or Bonfire AG processes your data, please refer to Zermatt Tourism’s privacy policy:
